From my experience you will have mounting depth issues with almost any honda when running 6.5" speakers especially in Integra's but it is an easy fix to make some decent spacers.  Also I would suggest that you just upgrade your front speakers and fade everything to the front if you have a hatch or coupe seeing as it will give you better sound imaging as well as sound quality IMO.  If you just end up upgrading just the fronts this amp is more than overkill for anything you can find out there.

As for speaker brands I am a big fan of the Infinity Kappa Perfect line, Diamond Hex series, Focal makes some killer speakers.  What is your price range?

just useing a front stage is the way to go so i agree with that but I have a set of sound stream components that are getting 150 RMS and the RE set i recomended will take more. just fyi

Ya I didn't check the specs on the RE audio speakers and HERRERRERA MAN OF UTAH  was talking about using this 2 channel amp on 4 speakers so he would have no fade control (if I am reading correctly) thus killing the imaging.  I think that the speakers should influence the choosen amp instead of the other way around.

What is he willing to spend on speakers choose them based on specs
Sensitivity
Price
Wattage
etc.
Then go choose an amp to compliment the speakers.

Again this is just my opinion on how I would do it again if I started my car stereo over again.

with a JL Audio 1000/1 amplifier

I would recommend a nice 6.5 Component Set of speakers. and as far as brand. i will suggest a few brands. but i highly recommend LISTENING to them first. go shop to shop and do some listening. take a cd that you are very familiar with and know every lyric to demo every set of comps you come across. no joke. everyone's hearing band is different. buy what sounds good to you. that's what there for right..

I recommend listening to Pioneer, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Memphis, Focal, Hurtz, phoenix Gold. just go listen!

I think the t-600 is a perfect front stage amp! im shooting for around 1k watts front stage in my teg!
it will give you plenty head room. and clean power. but it MUST be tuned right! with a DMM and a sign wave CD.

Have the t-600 run the front stage 6.5'' 2 way Component speakers of youre choice.
Deck power the rear speakers.

You're sub stage has MAD potential! make about a 3.5 cu ft ported box for it and those Type R's on the 1000/1 will SIIIING!

let me know if you need any help.

Thanks for your help fellas!!
i was not able to buy that amp from ebay, and now have a smaller budget to work with..
need new recommendations for amp/ front speaker combo. best bang for the buck around $300

i used to have a 2 12"s and they just were'nt my style, i got the 10's and the smallest box application was a .82 per speaker, for a clean sharp short thump, but the guy who made my box when with a .68 and i do think its a bit small.  it still hits hard, but you think a 3.5 cu ported would allow those subs to reach max potential?

Man... those are Type R's they are like the Whore of the Entry level SPL heads. look... this is 1 type R 10'' sub on a 1000 Watt mono amp.
12" Alpine Type R XMAX Excursion on 1001BDDQ

they have alot of potential in Either Box. It all boils down to what kind of music you listen too. either application of box will wang when built right.

I can't really see the pics here since everything is blocked at work, but here's my two cents....

Subwoofer:

1. Small Box. If you think your sealed box was built too small, you can stuff the box with polyfill to make it seem like a bigger box. There of course are limitations to this, but it's been a technique used by speakerbuilders for YEARS and is proven to work.  The best part about this is that polyfill is CHEAP (like $3 from Walmart), so your sound improvement won't cost an arm and a leg.  For details on stuffing density and such, read this:
http://www.audiojunkies.com/blog/1348/ultimate-polyfill-subwoofer-enclosure-resource

2. Ported Box.  Using a ported/vented box as opposed to a sealed box will usually give at least 3dB of gain when built correctly. 3.5 cu ft sounds HUGE to me, but it all really depends on the T/S parameters of the driver you're using.  That may very well be right.

Front Speakers:
These other guys are probably your better go-to for the information here's what I would do if I had to build on a budget.

1. Choose your speakers first.  As I said before, I like Infinity for bang-for-the-buck.  You can pick up some coaxial Infinity Reference speakers for about $50-60 per pair.   They're widely used, get great reviews, and I really dig the specs on them.  Some of the most efficient drivers on the market!

2. Buy an amplifier based on the speakers you've chosen.  If you went with the Infinitys above, they take up to 50W RMS -- so you'll want an amp that puts out at least 2 x 70W RMS just to be safe.  In this recession, it's EASY to pick up a steal of a deal on a gently used 2-channel amplifier off KSL or craigslist (or UtahHondas).  I'm pretty sure you can pick up an amp like this for under $100.

3. Sound deadener.  If you're on a budget, I recommend just buying Peel N Seal from Lowe's.  It's technically a roofing product, but it's INCREDIBLY similar material as Dynamat and costs pennies on the dollar.   A lot of DIY car audio guys on a budget use this and report great results.  Seal your doors with this stuff.  You'll probably need a garage or heat gun to make it stick to your door panels in this weather.   The stuff isn't very sticky when it's cold.  When it's all said and done, this should cost you less than  $40 total.

4. You're also gonna need an amp install kit, RCA cables, speaker wire, etc to get the job done.  Shop around and I'm sure you can find a decent price for this stuff.

Hope that helps.

UMM THAT'S NOT A AMP! that's a crossover. it is part of the speaker system. make sure there are 2 tweeters. two woofers, and 2 crossovers.

I don't know alot about MB quarts amps but MB Quart is now owned by Rockford Fosgate so.....  I do love the MB Quart Components I have in my Teg but they do require a lot of tweaking to get them to sound right and the definitely need an amp.  As for those Infinities the Kappa Perfect series sounds absolutely great.  I have had them in quite a few cars and never once had any complaints about them.  And for those Image Dynamics the specs on them look pretty decent but i think the infinity's will sound just as good as them and they are 1/2 the price.

RockfordFosgate makes nothing but RockfordFosgate. :period:

MB Quart was at one time a Independent Company. they went under. and Maxxsonics bought MB Quarts name. so its no longer truly MB Quart Quality.
http://www.maxxsonics.com/

What was MB Quart is now German Maestro.
http://www.german-maestro.de/index.htm
and good luck finding these for cheap.

Schooled.

oops forgot to put wht a bought, PPI. i'll do a review of my own, it wont be that good, cause i will be comparing them to sony explode walmart special speakers, with an amp i got from auto zone, so i have a feeling they might sound better than that..

but while searching, i came across about 5 different reviews from ppl switching from Image dynamics to PPI, here is one that helped with my decision..
