I want to learn how to tune. I have no knowledge in tuning cars so I would be somewhat of a noob. I could have looked on google and found some information online from like 2 million other sites, but this is the tech section so I figure this would be a good place to start learning. Don't tell me to take it to someone cause I want to learn!! DON"T TELL ME TO BRING IT TO YOUR SHOP OR TO GOTO HONDA TECH. Cause this is the tech section and I want to learn.

SPOON FEED ME NOW!!!!

Get an ostrich and a car you're not afraid to ruin and just fucking do it.

Trust me. Hours upon hours of reading was worthless compared to 30 minutes with a real car and crome.

Ben Strader has about 5 classes you can take. Its a lot of money but its a good start. My advice is to study Fluid Dynamics and the learn as much about fuel burn rates as possible. Fluid dynamics work well for airflow theory but you obviously cant compress fluid. You can only about 50% of fluid dynamics standards for exhaust flow theory.

You also need to learn the formulas for BSFC and piston velocity. When you can tune a car in your head without actually tuning it then you are ready.

Another option is to buy a hondata s300 and start tuning your own car and hope for the best. lol

Just get yourself a little laptop, plug it in, and tune away! It's simple. Anyone can do it. The hard part is finding a place to plug your laptop into your car. Bring it by my place and we'll take a look at your situation. Grin
