ok so i have a d16y7with a y8 head it was running in my friends ek he took everything out to do a b swap so i bought it and I want to put it into my stock 89 civic hatch. What all do I need? i have the ek vtec ecu, tranny aels everything can i just swap it straight in? any help I would greatly appreciate.

You will need either a cable transmission or you will need a Innovative mount kit and cable to hydro conversion. If it were me I would stick with the cable trans on a sohc cause they are stronger. You will need a stock wiring harness that came with the 89 chassis and a jumper harness

I think i have a cable trans in my garage, so i could just throw that kn there and the wiring is still in the ef cause its running, so really all i would need is a jumper harness and the trans? thank you for your input

You will need to use some of the 89 sensors as well including the injectors.

doesn't he need ef axels? last i remember they were a little bit shorter than ek/eg
