I'm so fucking pissed I have to post in this subforum right now.    The Slivic was taken last night, somewhere between 1:45AM and 5:30AM early this morning (2/10/10) It did not have the ECU in the car, infact, it's sitting in a chair behind me right now. So either they plugged in their own ECU, which I doubt, or trailered it. I fucking hate using past tense in regards to this car: It was green, with a tan interior. It had 0 offset Sportmax 002 15x8 inch wheels on Falken Tires which were 205/50/15's. Had a Megan racing muffler, catback exhaust, AEM Short ram intake, no name short shifter, CSK (Yes, Checker. Go fuck yourself) bucket seat, 4 point-racing harness. The rear seats were removed. It had front and rear upper strut bars, no name as well. The engine was stock, D16y7. What sucks is this is finally starting to set in, and I have to make another one of these for my neighbor's car. |

Kinda what I'm thinking. It's going to a chop shop, I'm sure of it. Had to have been trailered out or something. Whoever took it made some serious effort to do so. So if I get it back, I know exactly what it's going to look like.

Nope. ECU was removed though. And apparently an Alarm wouldn't have mattered, my neighbor's car (The other thread) had one, and it was armed, with no steering wheel, and an auxiliary battery. No sound.

Make the hood a son of a bitch to get open. So they just say fuck it we will pry it open when we get it to homebase. Then when they get the hood open have c4,hand grenade,napalm or something go off. That way they get burned half to death. Then later at the hospital they can explain to the police what happened. "I was striping a hardworking citizens car it blew the fuck up." Now that I don't have any hands, I think I learned my lesson. I can tell you right now a couple hundred dollars worth of wheels and after-market parts are not worth never seeing your family or friends again. I HOPE EVERY THIEVE BURNS IN HEll!!!!

It gave me a much needed chuckle. Thanks for the support guys. A few phone calls have been made, insurance wont help me out, but I might be getting a temp ride. Either my friend comes and lives with me for a few days, or I'm getting a temporary late 80's Sentra. Yeah, carb'd and all. 101.9 The End (The radio station) broadcast that my car was stolen. I'm not sure how much it's going to help, but I'm very grateful to Cort Johnson for taking the effort to broadcast that. Jimmy Chunga even gave props to Hondas. If you guys are ever caught on the phone with them, thank them for me. Damn it Joey I just got your text! Call me whenever you can man!

Sileighty fender flares, powder coat the wheels black, strip and cage the car. 4wd swap sometime in the future with any luck. All kinds of shit. Two black guys in hoodies in a green Taurus with no plates.
I hear doors open and close outside the window a couple times and had a weird feeling. went to the window and saw them walking to my car with a slim jim. I had my million candle watt light next to me so I shot it right at them. Seriously turned em white for a second, then they bolted.
I chased them down the parking lot in my underwear screaming at them. almost thew the light... cops never saw anything.

I think whoever stole it did it for fun, I think they saw your other thread about the amp getting stolen and you posting that it had no security other then the locks on the doors. No offense but your car didn't have any parts worth much in terms of resale value. I know you loved it, I can tell you did but it was still a stock d series with sportmaxxs. So that's what my guess is, they didn't steal your car to make money, they took it for fun.

Or took it thinking there was something interesting. Find out there wasn't. I'll agree, there isn't much there to sell. I even told the cop that. There isn't much on the car you can really get much out of. Of course, it doesn't seem like a fun theft. But hell, who knows. They either trailered it or put in a new ECU in order to take it. Well, if you let them get in the car, then go after them, whatever you do to them is done on/in your property. Not sure if that really applies to any laws, but if I happened to get a hold of the people who did this, I would make it a problem for them. BTW, two radio stations and two police departments are on it. Shit, I think the Radio stations will end up doing more good than the Police. Spent 4 hours in Kearns, I saw a lot of cops, mainly just chillin' in parking lots talking to other cops. Shit, Todd Noker from x96 (who I don't even listen to) is making a big amount of effort for me. Thanks to Hedphux for making that happen. |

It wouldn't be a huge deal for a thief to carry around an ECU or hell a steering wheel with a hub, seeing as how there are 2 main brands of quick realeses people in Utah use, those being NRG and eBay. Small simple things they could easily carry in a backpack or something.

Well, because it was a cop from MPD telling me what JLPD saw, I don't think I got any kind of good report. All four wheels were gone (so apparently someone liked them Eric ) and the car was up on blocks. Steering column was broken. That's all I got outta the guy. No word on my neighbor's car. |

Updates:
It was between 2 buildings, so apparently it took them 2 hours to get it out, what with having no wheels. The steering column is fucked. And apparently there's new damage from them getting the wheels off. It's also a $290 towing fee, plus $50 to get it out of impound. There were parts taken from the motor, the CD deck is gone.
Hopefully going today to go check it out.

Yep. This next paycheck was supposed to go only a 3rd to bills, then I was going to buy a new mixer, and then just generally enjoy the next 2 weeks.
Not happening now that $500 is going to just getting the car somewhere, then another $300 in bills. That's $800, meaning I'll only have maybe $70 left to live on for two weeks. Again.

Well I'm going to try to get the police department to compensate me somehow, because apparently they're supposed to call me and tell me that I can come pick it up, and if I don't they impound it. But they waited all of 11 minutes before they called, and told me that it was towed.

It wasn't much of a ''hearing''. It was a building with a line of counters. like a bank lol, i walked up to one guy and told him why i was there, i told him first off it's bull shit i had to pay that cause the car was STOLEN from me, then i told him it's eff'd up cause the cops called me and said they found it, and i had 30 minutes to be to rose park or they were going to tow it. Yeah i was in bear lake, Not effing happening. So i called my uncle that lives out there and he grabbed his trailer and went over there, they towed it like five minutes after calling me. they gu said ''well someone will have to pay'', and i said tell the fucking cops to do their job and someone will pay, the assholes that stole it will pay. and he called someone then printed off a check for the total impound fee. It was bull shit, but i finally got it taken care of Have you gone to see the car yet? Pics? |

I'm having to just laugh about the whole ordeal. The way I see it, sitting here wanting to destroy everyone isn't going to help anyone. Granted I'm pissed off, and really getting annoyed with all the shit I'm having to go through, I'd rather go through it with a clear mind and a good sense of humor than being a little emo kid.
After all, once this is all figured out, I'm moving on to another project, more than likely a Toyota. The model exactly, I'm not completely sure at this point. I have my eye on a car, but we'll see what happens.
And with any luck, I can have some money this summer to complete my DJ setup, and focus more on that.

Bro, im new to this site...kinda, and looking at this, and reading it, really pisses me off. i cant even imagine what your going through right now. fortunately i havent had my car stollen yet(knock on wood). but they have broken in and taken stereo stuff etc. but i have only been out here for 2 years.
we should really get together and rally or something, so that shit stops. We are hard workin people. not little children, we should be able to do whatever the hell we want to our cars, and not have to worry about theives. I have literally put blood, sweat and tears into my car, and to read this just makes me wanna stop, and it should be that way at all
Again, something needs to be done about this, make lo-jack available here. Have the police start putting out a couple of bait cars... they have the show on tv about it, and yet i have never seen it happen in utah. In fact, one story in north carolina, a guy bought a gps chip for his honda, so he would now where his son was at all times, his son put alot of money into it to make it nice, it got stollen 2 weeks later. they found the warehouse, and the dad shot 3 people, illing one. Now the dad is in jail for life. personally, i would not charge him with anything. i cant imagine how furious i would be, and i think theives deserve whatever happens to them
