Gps systems are not super cheep. Have to pay a monthly service with a at least 1 year contract, Most need a aftermarket alarm system to work. The cellphone way is the best as far as cheep tracking.

I have done a few of each gps alarm systems, and gps phones.

Cell phone GPS doesn't work. If you don't believe me, try calling your cell phone company right now and explaining to them that your car has been stolen and your phone is inside, can you please track my car and then call the police to go and get it.

Its called Phase II and the cops can search it just like they do when you call them. So as long as the phone is equipped with Phase II technology they can find your car.

Do they sell any Phase II Tracfones?  That'd be kinda cool and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to keep running.  How much is a service like Lo Jack?
