just finished swappin my motor, went to pull out of the driveway and i noticed that when i tried to get the car to coast down the driveway it would just stop. at first i though that one or more of my brake calipers had seized. the car was sitting for a while. but after checking i found out they were all spinning free. the car just wont roll and the resistance is coming from the front. the transmission works fine and hits every gear. the clutch is actuating fine.

when the front of the car is off the ground both tires spin freely and in opposite directions. if one side of the car is down its becomes very difficult to spin the side that is off the ground. that might be typical, i don't know.

its a gsr transmission. please let me know if you have any suggestions. feel free to call or text...801-682-6183

Sounds like your transmission is locked into gear or something. Pull the spark plugs and see if it rolls easier.

Are you swapping this into a EF (CRX/Hatch)?  If so, you need to remove the dust caps from the backside of the knuckle.

still could be a problem if the axle nut is loose.  There wouldn't be any pressure against the hub. 

I'm purely assuming from my personal experience though, and giving suggestions.

I shattered my final drive and the same thing happened. The car would roll about 6 feet foward and then it would stop.

i did have to tighten the axle nuts by hand.. gonna hit em with the impact see if that helps.


btw its just an LS into an em1.

i dont think the trans is locked into a gear. you can move the car with the power of the motor, just cant push it, and it stops dead as soon as you let off the gas.
