My tranny went out on me yesterday, and I've been looking for one to take up the space. I've found a couple, but like everything else that is in play it can always fall through. Anyway, do I just need to stay with the 92-95 tranny (Accord/prelude) or is there another route that I can take? Any help is appreciated.

any F or H series tranny would work. but if you have the money get the conversion kit so you can stick b series trannys on it.

Actually, I've always had a rather extensive vocabulary, not to mention a phenomenal grasp of grammar and a superlative command of syntax. I simply chose not to employ them.

You can't put a bseries trans in an Accord or prelude without some fucking serious modification. They make a h2b kit but thats for civics and integras

Okay, riddle me this and riddle me that? I just picked up an f22b trans to get me by for the time being. But now I'm wondering if the new transmission will take care of my problem. Symptoms: 3rd gear went in March, 2nd and 4th began to follow closely. This Sunday leaving from work, 4th decided to take a dirt nap on me, then not ten minutes later @ a stop sign pulling into traffic felt like I launched, nice loud bang and wouldn't go anywhere. It goes into 1st, 2nd, 5th, and R but won't go in any of those gears. With the motor running clutch engaged you couldn't tell anything is wrong. Disengage the clutch, and it sounds like I'm trying to get into a gear unsuccessfully (mind you that this is in Neutral!!!) now while my car is making this constant grinding plea for help, my speed-o is reading around 40 mph @ idle. This had me thinking "Well, maybe it could be the axle!" I don't know where to go next, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. Let's get this thing on the track... one day!

Could be a number of issues, but it's a guarantee there's internal damage done. Could be a split case, broken cutch, broken ring/pinion, exploded diff, axles, the list goes on.

What problems am I going to run into with a cracked bell housing. Quite frankly I'm looking at the lesser of two evils: Trans that does not do anything, or trans with good gears and a cracked Bell. Safety is no longer my main concern at this point.

Alright, got everything in and I'm ready to run... in theory. The problem that I'm running into now is that I can't get the b***h started. I have power to everything and the starter clicks. I tried wrapping on the solenoid to see if my starter miraculously went bad in the few hours that it was on the ground. All wires are connected and no fuses are blown. ANYTHING THAT ANYONE CAN GIVE ME WILL BE OF MUCH APPRECIATION. I'm starting to get a little irritated.
