another question, keep in mind i dont know much about turbocharging an engine.
would it be cheaper/better to buy a kit or building part by part
i was considering a full race stage 2

depending on what power you looking for look into the peak boost kit.  Its an exellent alternative to the full race and would still be a terror on the street.

ok as most of you guys should know or maybe you dont, i bought jaimes ls/vtec and i am going to build it, he just went threw the top end so i dont have to worry about that and i have eagle rods and i just got a set of pistons today and i want to get it into the machine shop asap, im just wondering if there was anything else i should get before that, i once read something about a balencer do i need to worry about that?, also what head gasket do i use with the lsvtec? and do i need one that is for 81.5mm bore or can i just use a 81mm one?

also how much power can i get out of a gsr intake manifold? i plan on getting a victor x but if i dont have to spend the money then i wont

i think you can use the 81mm one, but it fucks with your compression a bit.

and victor x's are supposed to be great for boost Wink

dont be a pussy and drop the dough Cool

The stock 81mm head gasket is actually about an 81.5mm.  if you put it on a 81.5mm cylinder you won't feel the edges, it's a perfect fit.  you'll prob wanna get a new oil and water pump.  As well as bearings.

i was just gonna have the machine shop get the bearings, but ill look into oil and water pumps, do you think the stock balencer will work or should i get a new one?
