1990 acura legend with a code 8/ tdc sensor
« on: February 28, 2010, 06:11:34 PM »
ok i first replaced the distributor which has the tdc sensor in it.  then the code was still there so i started digging deeper and tested the new sensor, good resistance between sensor wires, and no continuity between either one and body ground. so next step is the ecu, so i found one with a warranty on ebay and still same problem and code.so my question is wtf else could it be?  and does anyone know if a dealer can test a computer without the vehicle?

it could be a connection fitments problem, open in a wire or a short to ground. check the orange/blue wire and the white/blue wire

i checked wires all the way to computer.  and i also looked at the connections and all seem ok and are making good contact.
