Midnight Drags
« on: August 04, 2011, 01:24:16 PM »
So I've had my car for awhile now but I'm wondering if it's quicker than my b16. I've never participated in a drag night at RMR. Figure kill two birds with one stone and see how it stacks up with other cars. So my question is are people in the pits just checking out each others rides and setting up races there or do most people drive out there with a friend?

you'll do 85% more checkin cars out and talking to people vs racing lol you'll be lucky to get more than 3 runs the whole night and thats if no one blows oil down the track. But before the race start and during people are just checking out other cars and talking while waiting in line and good luck setting up your own race lol you just race whoever is behind or in front of you depending if your the first one the pull out of second one
it was mad hella flush bro?

Flush like a toilet?

Once you've passed tech and they've let everyone into the pits, I like to just go park my car and watch for a bit. Then once it's died down a little, go race.

But ya, setting up a race is kind of difficult. They have you set up in 4 lines and a track official kind of dictates which cars will be running up against each other. Buuuuut if the person you want to race is close by you can always ask politely for that track official to pair you up with the the person you actually want to race. This scenario is more likely to happen towards the end of the night when their isn't as many cars in line.

The scenario will more than likely not happen on the very first event of the year though. I predict LOTS of participants, as well as oil-downs to go with it.

The 2011 season was ran different than any other year. You didnt do tech out in the parking lot. everything was done in the pits. they lined you up in the pits, came through and did tech, then when it was time, pulled everyone up to the staging lanes.

Guys all of you missed that this thread was from August 4th huh?  ;D
