Open Track Day in-car vids in the Acura Legend
« on: August 06, 2011, 09:00:17 AM »
I've shared these vids with just about every forum in the existence of the interwebs. But, I have neglected my Honda brethren, so here's a couple of clips from my first real track event at Lap Battle's open track day last month. I've done several WOW's but this takes the cake. A big thanks to Biggie and Matt for hosting such a great track event.

Thats cool Vic! How is tracking that thing. The legend isn't usually the first thing I think of when I here track car, but it seems at home. Does your transmission have a 3rd gear option. Try leaving in 3rd if it does. You might be able to control the throttle a little better.

Tracking the Legend is OK. The auto is what kills it the most. Future plans are to swap a C35 in it (RL engine) and a 5 speed (I hate our 6 speeds!) to alleviate much of the stock drivetrain's problems. Honestly, I'm only about the 3rd or 4th person in the world (by that, I mean the internet. LOL) that has tracked his legend. I have a D3 gear and I use it alot for W.O.W. and it helps but for some reason that ratio was really unstable in the corners at speed at this event.  I guess there's too much torque in that ratio for when I'm going about 50-60 mph. Leaving it in D4 seemed to help, but of course I could have used the extra revs and less gear hunting. Another problem with the slushbox, oh well.
