I had the coolant lines disconected on my turbo for about two months and it was fine. I hear thats its not all that bad to not hook up coolant to it thats why i did it. I noticed on courtneys drag hatch he doesnt run coolant to his turbo.... but the oil feed and the oil drain will travel in a straight line as well as coolant will travel in a straight line on the turbo.

Coolant lines are super easy. A lot of routing options work just fine. And like he said above, you don't necessarily HAVE to use them, but they are nice - especially for daily driving.
