91 CRX Climate Control Help
« on: November 16, 2013, 07:53:10 AM »
Like any other CRX owner I have a broken CC, winter is around the corner and unfortunate as I am, air only comes out of my front vents, need to figure out a way to switch the vents in order to defrost my front windshield, any diagrams on this would be greatly appreciated, someone told me to check fuses but all are good

What exactly is broken on your climate control?

91 CRX Climate Control Help

I think the control itself, it's broken into pieces literally, the only thing that works is the speed fan selection and the temperature, I can't change the vent positions. I took off the vent motor, but can't find a wiring diagram for it to see if it works, this is what it looks like at the moment

that will still work even though it's broken.  The 2 pieces are seperate units held together.  If you're having problems with your vents, it's a plug problem.

Check for corrosion and/or try some thermal grease on the connectors and see what happens.

Checked all connections, all good no corrosion what so ever.... Now I need a spare climate control to see if that's the issue.... Anybody have a working climate control they can lend me to test it out with my car and try and isolate the issue? I'll come to u, I'm not asking to take it
